Beryllia Ceramics/Beryllium Oxide Ceramics Beryllium oxide ceramics are ceramics with beryllium oxide as the main component. Mainly used as a substrate for large-scale integrated circuits, high-power gas laser tubes, heat sink shells for transistors, microwave output windows and neutron moderators. Characteristics of Beryllium Oxide Ceramics Pure beryllium oxide (BeO) belongs to the cubic crystal system, and its density is 3.03g/cm3. The melting point is 2570ºC, it has high thermal conductivity, the thermal conductivity λ is 200-250W/(m.K), and it has good thermal shock resistance. Beryllium oxide ceramics are made of beryllium oxide powder as raw material, alumina and other ingredients are added and sintered at high temperature. The melting temperature range of beryllium oxide is 2530ºC~2570ºC, and its theoretical density is 3.02g/cm3. It can be used for a long time at 1800ºC in vacuum, 2000ºC in inert gas, and 1800ºC in oxidizing atmosphere. ºC to volatilize. It has been valued and applied in the field of optoelectronic technology, especially in high-power semiconductor devices, high-power integrated circuits, high-power microwave vacuum devices and nuclear reactors. It has always been the mainstream ceramic material for preparing high thermal conductivity components.
